A TEAM of Coldhurst carers will take on the highest peak in Wales highest peak this weekend as they unite to fundraise for an indoor memory garden.
Carers at Trinity House are gearing up for the 3,560 ft ascent of Snowdon to provide a private and calm space for residents living with dementia.
The four participating housing and care staff members will be backed by residents at Trinity House who hope to 'be there in spirit' via a live video stream.
Carer Adele Farrow who works at the Godson Street site said: "We are excited to do the walk because it is for such a good cause.
"We have all been wearing our walking boots to work and using the stairs instead of the lift in preparation."
Assistant court manager Tracey Ewins from Housing&care21 will join Jo McWhirter, Phil Roberts and Adele Farrow from the on-site care team Mio Care for the hike along the
Llanberis Path - the longest and most gradual of six main paths to Snowdon's summit.
Residents have designed and ordered t-shirts and also handmade a large banner for the lounge to support the event this Saturday.
Douglas Stuffy who has been a resident for just over two years said: "The idea to walk up Snowdon came from one of our senior carers."
