OLDHAM residents are being given the chance to save money on their energy bills and win cinema tickets for their family with the Warm Homes Oldham scheme this month.
Oldham Council is offering anyone who books an appointment with the scheme in June the chance to win a family cinema ticket for Oldham's stunning Old Town Hall ODEON cinema.
The award-winning Warm Homes Oldham scheme has helped over 4,500 people out of fuel poverty since launching in 2012.
It helps people in Oldham who are struggling to pay their energy bills and to heat their homes by providing home improvements, as well as energy-saving advice, help in switching tariffs and support with debts and benefits.
The scheme can save Oldhamers an average of £300 on their energy bill a year, providing they have not switched their tariff in the last 12 months.
Helen Lockwood, Executive Director of Economy, Skills and Neighbourhoods, said: "Warm Homes Oldham is a remarkable scheme and has been recognised with a number of national and local awards.
"But the most important result is the amount of local people who are no longer struggling to heat their homes after being helped by the scheme.
"We know there are many others that still need our help in Oldham. There might be some people who don't realise that this help is there for them. If you are struggling to heat your home or know someone that is, there's a great team in Oldham.
"And if you book an appointment for June, you'll be in with a chance of winning a family cinema ticket for Oldham's Old Town Hall ODEON cinema."
To enter the competition you can contact the Warm Homes Oldham scheme any time but your appointment must take place during June.
There are three family tickets for the cinema to be won. Each includes two adult tickets and two children's tickets and the winner will be drawn and announced on July 3.
