CHILDREN are believed to have started a blaze in a building which was being used to store old furniture.
Firefighters were called to the detached, two-storey building in Jarvis Street, Glodwick, at around 10pm on Thursday.
Watch Commander Phil Courtnell, from Oldham, said fire crews prevented the blaze from affecting other properties.
He added: "We managed to save the building.
"Because of the amount of timber, if the fire had got going fully it would have been a huge bonfire."
