STARS of TV and stage plus football legends will take to the hallowed field of Oldham Athletic's SportsDirect.com Park to raise money in a charity football match.

With kick-off scheduled for this Wednesday at 7.30pm, the celebrities will look to put on a scintillating display as they raise money for Once Upon a Smile and Prostate Cancer UK.

Once Upon a Smile, founded by Daniel Jillings and Danny Miller, provides support to families that have lost a parent or child through financial and respite support and is backed by a host of celebrities and football legends.

The celebrity team, who play a host of games with and against football legends across the country, will feature stars from Emmerdale, Hollyoaks and EastEnders plus X Factor stars Jake Quickenden and Anthony Quinlan.

They will face the formidable team of Oldham Athletic legends including Clyde Wijnhard, Richie Wellens, Paul Murray, Guy Branston and John Eyre.

While the footballers partake of their half time oranges, the spectators will be treated to entertainment and can also get involved in raffles. There will also be a chance for youngsters to get involved as player mascots for the night.

Entry is £1 on the night and the organisers are hoping for a bumper crowd to help boost the crucial services the charities can help with.

Advance tickets can be purchased from onceuponasmile.org.uk/ or from the Oldham Athletic ticket office.
