CAR fires in Oldham town centre are being treated as deliberate as police investigate.
Firefighters urged residents to remain vigilant about vehicles being targeted after a two-vehicle fire in Rifle Street.
Emergency services were called to Rifle Street at the junction with Radcliffe Street on Saturday morning.
A black Fiat Punto was completely burnt out, a black Ford Focus was on fire and an offender attempted to set a third car alight, according to Oldham fire crew members.
Police said: "We are treating the incident as arson."
It took an hour for the fire crew to extinguish the flames.
Crew manager Gaz Park said: "We have had 10 car fires in the last couple of months, between 7am and 8am. These are deliberate ignitions."
