Man is arrested for affray

THREE people have been arrested after a man ran at a police officer with a knife.
Police were called to reports that a group of men were fighting on Napier Street East, Oldham, at around 2pm yesterday.
On their arrival, a 19-year-old man ran towards an officer with a knife. He was disarmed and arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and affray. Two other men aged 18 and 19 were also arrested.
They remain in police custody for questioning.
