YOUTH coordinator for community activities Abdul Rafay Khan donates blood
YOUTH volunteers donated blood in response to the "chronic shortage" of South Asian donors.
Members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AMYA), in Oldham, gathered together on Saturday to donate blood.
The life-saving action saw members of the group queue up to donate at Norfolk Blood Donation Centre, based in Manchester City Centre.
Youth leader Laiq Khan said: "We have been working with the National Blood Service for many years.
"We are aware of a chronic shortage of South Asian donors and we intend to do our bit to help save lives.
"As proud British Muslims, we are committed to the service and benefit of humanity."
