A MAN who died after a Porsche crash in Oldham has been named locally.
Tributes have been paid to Danny Schofield (42) who died in hospital after the blue Boxster ploughed into a lamppost.
Danny, a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the crash in Greenacres Road last Wednesday.
Residents have taken to social media to pay their respects to the 42-year-old who lived nearby.
Teri Brierley posted: "RIP Danny. What a guy. You will be missed by many."
Andy Rowlandson posted: "RIP Danny. Such a sad loss - thoughts with his friends and family."
Flowers have been left at the scene of the accident in tribute to Danny, who is understood to have attended Breeze Hill School.
Stephen Wilson (46), of Brideoak Street, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving, and driving while uninsured.
He appeared at Tameside Magistrates Court last Thursday where he was remanded to appear at Crown Court on April 22.
