OAP hit by lorry, witnesses sought

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was left with serious injuries after being struck by a lorry in Moston last Monday.
Shortly before 10.15am, the 75-year-old man was involved in a collision at the junction of Moston Lane East with a white Mercedes HGV that was travelling southbound on Broadway (A663), New Moston.
He suffered serious head and neck injuries and was taken to hospital where his condition remains life-threatening.
The lorry driver stopped at the scene and Broadway was shut by police for four hours while an investigation was carried out.
