A FORMER Oldham College student is set to strut her stuff for the second time on the Manchester stage.

Dominika Olejnik is in the mix for the Miss Manchester title for the second year running having placed in the last 25 girls in 2016.

Dominika (20), who studied travel and tourism and music, says she had such a great time at the event the wanted to give it another shot.

"I absolutely loved the experience of it all last year," said Dominika, who grew up in Coppice but recently moved to Ashton.

"That's why I want to take part again. I'm more prepared this time. Last year I lacked confidence but I've been working on that and feel I'm ready and I'll do even better this time."

If selected through the public voting system she will hit the Miss Manchester catwalk at The Principal Hotel in the city on May 5 and take part in casual, gym wear and evening gown rounds. The girl crowned Miss Manchester will automatically win a place in the Miss England contest.

In the mean time Dominaka, a receptionist, is busy raising money for the event's charities, Beauty With a Purpose and Make Some Noise.

She is also looking for a sponsor, the name of which will appear on her sash on the night of the big pageant bash.
