Collision leaves pensioner with 'serious head injuries'

A PENSIONER was seriously injured after being struck by a lorry in Moston.
Police were called to Broadway, at the junction of Moston Lane East, at 10.15am yesterday after the 70-year-old man was hit at the junction.
He was been taken to hospital in an ambulance.
A police spokesman said the man was suffering with "serious head injuries".
The lorry driver stopped at the scene.
Broadway was shut by police for four hours while an investigation was carried out.
