FANCY dress . . . pupils take part in a Comic Relief event at Hodge Clough
HODGE Clough Primary School started fundraising early this year with a Comedy Choral Carnival for Comic Relief.
In the weeks leading up to the carnival, three poets, Rogan Mills, Dominic Berry and Mike Markham, visited the school to work with the children to create some new and unique poetry.
The children also performed nonsense poems from their favourite authors such as Roald Dahl and Spike Milligan.
Headteacher Neil Cavanagh said: "We are so proud of our children. They always get behind charity and community events and give 110 per cent."
The school will also sell concert DVDs.
