Woman injured in fall from bridge

A WOMAN is in a serious condition in hospital after falling from a motorway bridge in Oldham on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the A627M northbound, between junction 2 (Slattocks) and Junction 3 (M62) to reports that a woman had fallen from an overhead bridge shortly before 3pm.
The woman, said to be in her 40s, was taken to hospital and remains in a serious condition.
The road was closed for several hours until reopening shortly before 5pm. The southbound carriageway remained open.
The incident caused delays on the A627M and Broadway while the road was closed.
