THESE generous youngsters have gone out of their way to helpchildren in Syria.
The reception class at Greenhill Academy, in Harmony Street, collected nearly 70 shoeboxes filled with various items as part of the Shoebox4Syria appeal.
The children have been learning about global citizenship and they decided that they wanted to help those aged three-18 years who have been suffering as a result of the crisis which started in 2011.
They collected dry food, scarves, gloves, colouring books and pencils. The filled boxes will be sent to Syria.
