CUSTOMERS are served at a similar drive-in event at Tesco in Northwich
OLDHAMERS can enjoy the magic of the movies from their cars at a drive-in event.
The Tesco Extra store in Huddersfield Road has announced the free American-style event will take place on Sunday.
To say 'thank you' to its customers, the supermarket will be showing recent DVD release Bridget Jones's Baby on a large screen in the car park. Customers will be able to enjoy the film from the comfort of their own cars with the sound playing through their car speakers.
They should arrive from 5pm and the event is scheduled to begin at 6pm or once the car park is full. Entry will be on a first come, first served basis. The film is certified as a 15 and so admission will not be granted to anyone under this age.
Store manager Andrew Brown said: "We wanted an opportunity to say thanks to our customers and thought that this was something exciting and a little bit different.
"A trip to the cinema isn't complete without popcorn, and a drink to wash it down with, luckily colleagues will be handing these out."
