MR BUMP completed Oldham Parkrun with barely a scratch - and managed to raise more than £100 for Children with Cancer UK in the process.
James Wright (46), of Royton, donned the cumbersome outfit as he continues his preparation for the London Marathon this April in the same costume.
He was one of two people to be selected out of a team of 1,400 to wear the official Mr Bump and Little Miss Sunshine costumes for Children with Cancer UK during the marathon.
After completing the run James, or Mr Bump, walked back home through the town centre collecting £123.27.
The next parkruns James will do as he prepares for the marathon will be at Stretford on March 4 and Chadderton Park Hall on March 18.
James, who paid the money to his fundraising page virginmoneygiving.com/James70, was delighted with the donations.
He said: "Would like to say an enormous thank you to all who donated @ Parkrun and in Oldham town centre. Extra thanks has to go to those who ran with me at Parkrun - the 'Team Bump' support was amazing."
Speaking ahead of the Stretford and Chadderton Parkruns he said: "It would be great to get more people down to both events, especially Chadderton which is my local run."
