DANCING from a Night at the Movies at Crompton House School
A TOUCH of Hollywood magic came to Crompton House School when talented dancers held a Night at the Movies-themed show.
A total of 128 girls and two boys took part in the annual dance showcase which was packed with numbers to music from films such as Ghostbusters, Hairspray, Slumdog Millionaire, Dirty Dancing, Trolls and Annie.
Pupils picked the theme and those taking part included PE students, children who attend dance classes outside of school and friends who choreographed their own routines.
A performance to All That Jazz from Chicago by BTEC dance students was also assessed as part of their course.
PE and dance teacher Steph-Ashton Smith said pupils from Year 7 to 12 took part in the show which included around 30 routines.
She added: "It was really successful. There was ballet, tap, lyrical, street, musical theatre - a real variety of styles.
"Everyone performed really well, everyone seemed to enjoy it and the feedback from staff and parents was very positive."
