Suspicious death at a house in Kensington Avenue, Royton
A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Royton.
Police were called shortly before 2.05am today (6) by the ambulance service to Kensington Avenue, Royton where a man was being treated by paramedics. He was taken to hospital where he sadly died.
A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for police questioning.
Detective Superintendent Joanne Rawlinson of GMP’s Public Protection Department, said: “This is a tragic incident, resulting in a man losing his life and my thoughts are with his family at this time.
“We have a team of experienced officers working to determine the exact circumstances that have led to the man’s death and we have a person in custody.
“We are however, still in the early stages of the investigation and I would ask anyone with information to get in contact.”
