A LATICS supporter who threatened to murder the children of manager Stephen Robinson in a tweet is now banned from attending games.
The supporter, who took to Twitter to send a "threatening and abusive" tweet after Athletic lost 2-0 to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in the Boxing Day fixture, will be banned from attending fixtures at the SportsDirect.com Park for the remainder of the season.
Oldham Athletic confirmed police had investigated and having met with both parties, closed the investigation as the Robinson's did not wish to take any further action.
They also reminded supporters that abusive and threatening behaviour will not be tolerated.
In a statement on the club's website, they said: "Following a threatening and abusive tweet aimed at the Oldham manager Stephen Robinson's family, the club can confirm the supporter in question has been banned from attending fixtures at SportsDirect.com park for the remainder of the season.
"The police have investigated the matter and having met with both parties, their investigation is now closed as the Robinson's are not taking any further action."
