STEPHEN HANLEY (61), of Assheton Road, Shaw, was fined £120 with a 17-month driving ban for driving under the influence of alcohol.
An appeal against the decision made to refuse to renew a private hire driver's licence by the director of legal services on behalf of RAIHEN KHAN was granted. Costs of £500 plus VAT were awarded against Oldham Council to be paid directly to the appellant. Oldham Council must pay costs of £600 to Raihen Khan.
STEVEN WARD (19), of Huddersfield Road, Oldham, was discharged conditionally for 18 months, given a collection order and told to pay compensation of £240 for stealing power tools valued at £715. His guilty plea was taken into account.
VICTORIA HARGREAVES (30), of Littlebank Street, Oldham, was discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay costs of £40 and a surcharge of £20 for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour, within the hearing or sight of a person likely to harassed, alarmed or distressed.
ZAC ENGLISH-WANDS (24), of Rochdale Road, Royton, was ordered to pay £270 and given a community order for assault.
