A PHARMACY allegedly subjected to an attempted burglary on Christmas Day has released CCTV images of suspects - and said one raider was hit on the head with a metal bar during the incident.
A set of CCTV images showing the alleged incident at Hopwood House Pharmacy on Glodwick Road, Lees, was posted online by pharmacy owner Maz Ahmed.
He has appealed for information from the public and asked: "Do you know these thieves, possibly from the Clarksfield or Derker area?
"They broke into our pharmacy at Hopwood House earlier this morning on Glodwick Road. Somebody out there must know who they are."
In another post, he said: "One of the guys has a head injury after being struck by a metal bar, which a brother who was responding to the break in used it in self defence.
The appeal for information was backed by another post written by a woman called Denise Slater who describes herself as self-employed and said: "This is my place of work. Everyone there works so hard please, all my friends, share this."
No details have been posted about whether any goods were taken or how much damage was caused.
The Chronicle left a message with Mr Ahmed asking for further details and the case remained under investigation last night.
