DOG enthusiasts raised a huge £1,585 at their "Pugmas Pawty" all in the name of charity.
About 70 pugs and their owners turned out for the dog-focused festivities to raise funds for Oldham-based Pennine Pen Animal Rescue.
Organisers Chris Holden and Jakki Hope handed over the large sum to grateful staff at the rescue centre on Tuesday.
"Pugfather" Chris who set up Manchester Pug Army one year ago said: "I didn't expect to raise any where near this much.
"I'm proud of our Pug Army.
"Dressing up pugs is a huge thing - they always wear coats and jumpers - so with it being Christmas everyone went to town. This was our first major event.
"We were going to have games and musical chairs but it didn't happen because it was mayhem. It was great and everyone seemed to enjoy it."
Dog lovers donned their pooches in Santa outfits, snowmen costumes, reindeer antlers and home-made Christmas jumpers for the event.
More than 100 dog owners came together for the special occasion at Littleborough Rugby Club on Sunday.
Each of the pugs at the event had their photo taken with Santa Claus and was given a selection of dog treats.
Co-organiser Jakki Hope said: "It was a fantastic day - we are over the moon with the amount that we raised and the kind donations we were given.
"Thank you so much to all of the small companies who donated fabulous prizes.
"Without them we wouldn't have raised anywhere near as much."
Funds raised through the raffle and auction will be used to cover costs of the increased number of vet bills at Pennine Pen during the winter season.
Excess will be used to help staff at the charity in Honeywell Lane provide sanctuary for abandoned animals.
Oldham-based Chris added: "We chose Pennine Pen because it is a local charity.
"Some of the horror stories they have had are awful, especially with Kenny.
"Having him in the spotlight has really helped to raise awareness.
"I think people realise how hard they work and what a great job they do.
"I want to thank everyone who donated - you are amazing."
Kenny featured in the Oldham Chronicle after he was found neglected and abandoned in Oldham. He is now in the care of Pennine Pen.
