LATICS stars turned Santa Claus when they delivered cheer to the children's ward at the Royal Oldham Hospital.
Young fans were left grinning from ear to ear when captain Peter Clarke joined Paul Green, Brian Wilson, Billy Mckay and Jamie Stott, along with manager Stephen Robinson, to hand deliver gifts galore to patients on the ward.
Robinson said: "Visits like this make you realise how lucky you are in life.
"You see a lot of kids in here and a lot of parents worried sick. But the nurses here are tremendous - they do a really great job."
Meanwhile, fellow first-teamers Ollie Banks, Josh Law and Charles Dunne visited Oldham Foodbank to deliver food which had been donated by the players and fans.
During the visit, they learned how the food bank, based in Clegg Street, distributes food to users of the service and saw how important it is to the community.
Difference
Full back Dunne said: "Today was a real eye opener for me as it showed what certain people go through on a daily basis.
"I was shocked to find out over 100 people used the small facility every day, so to help, especially at this time of year, really makes a difference."
Wendy Noble, operations manager, said: "It was great to see how appreciative the staff and volunteers were of the donation and we will be back in the new year to help out with more donations."
