POLICE are appealing for a man and a woman who may have witnessed a rape in Oldham town centre to come forward.
At about 1.30am on Friday, October 28, the victim - in her 30s - was raped by a man in a car park off Beever Street.
Detectives have released CCTV footage of the two potential witnesses who were in the area at the time of the offence.
Detective Constable Andrew Day, from Oldham CID, stressed that the pair are not in trouble and they are appealing for them to come forward as they may have key information.
He said: "We want to speak to the man and woman in the footage as we believe they could have witnessed the incident and may have key information. I would urge them to come forward to police and I must stress they are not in any trouble.
"If you recognise the people in the footage then I would also ask you to please contact us."
A man, Lee James McEvoy, of Oswald Street, Oldham, has since been charged with rape and will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on April 4.
Anyone with information should call 0161-856 9063.
