A CAT who ended up on the streets by default after her owner died is looking for a new home.
Lucy arrived at Animal Rescue Oldham in September after fending for herself on the streets for more than four months.
The feline friend, thought to be between nine and 12 years of age, was handed over to the charity by the father of her previous owner.
He was unable to take her into his home as his wife is allergic to cats so instead travelled twice each day to the far side of Middleton to ensure Lucy was fed.
A charity spokeswoman said: "We are appealing to residents to give her a forever home.
"While staying in the rescue she has shown signs that she would probably prefer to live without other animals."
To respond to the appeal, call 0161 626 2230.
