RAFFLE launch . . . with Mr Tommyfield (Tommyfield Market mascot)
FESTIVE shoppers can get their hands on some of this year's most wanted gifts with the launch of Oldham Council's Tommy's Christmas Market Raffle.
Anyone who makes a purchase at any stall in Tommyfield Market Hall - or the brick or perimeter units - displaying a "Tommy's Christmas Market Raffle" poster will automatically receive one stamped raffle ticket from the trader.
Raffle entrants stand a chance of winning some amazing prizes including an Xbox One S console, two bikes with accompanying helmets, and the classic board game, Monopoly.
Jean Stretton, Oldham Council leader, said: "The best Christmas tradition is gift giving and this raffle has some excellent prizes to be won.
Cheer
"I would encourage people to head over to Tommyfield Market, get some of your Christmas shopping done, and give yourself a great chance of winning some extra festive cheer."
There is no restriction on cost or number or items required to gain a raffle ticket, and shoppers can enter as many times as they like.
Entrants need to fill in their contact details on the back of the ticket and post it in the collection box outside the Market Office (near Hyde's Newsagents).
Raffle entrants (aged 16 and over) must submit their raffle tickets to the designated collection box by 5pm on Friday, December 16.
The draw will be made the following day at noon on Tommy's Field by Tommyfield Market's very own mascot, Mr Tommyfield.
Look out for Mr Tommyfield in the run up to the draw too as he will be handing out blank raffle tickets to shoppers around the town centre.
