BOLD fly-tippers have started using main streets rather then back alleys to dump their rubbish.
An assortment of dirty old clothes, glass bottles and other debris were left dumped along the length of Horsedge Street, Oldham.
Usually fly-tippers act sheepishly and use back alleyways or abandoned sites where they are less likely to be caught.
But it would seem offenders are growing in confidence, or perhaps they are running out of alleyways, with this latest incident which could have been seen by numerous residents.
The appearance of the unsightly mess is a cause for concern for resident Kenneth Brierley who, as well as finding it repulsive, believes it is a health hazard for children of the nearby schools and nursery.
He said: "Who would want to live with that outside their home?
"The mess is from the top to the bottom and there is a nursery school down the road and there is glass bottles all over the place.
"It is an absolute mess. It may not look that much but it is now a dirty street."
