OLDHAM was buried under a blanket of snow on Friday, November 18 as the first bad weather of the season spread across the borough.
The wintry spell caused traffic chaos for many as roads ground to a halt and driving conditions turned treacherous.
Many motorists were forced to dig out their vehicles from under a layer of ice and snow and gritters were out in force in a battle against the elements.
The cold weather is set to stay this week with snow forecast tonight for higher ground.
And heavy rain will see parts of Britain, already battered by Storm Angus, at risk of further flooding in the next 24 hours.
Wet weather is expected to sweep across the South West and move north, causing damage and disruption.
The West Midlands, Wales and north of England are all covered by a yellow "be aware" warning - with more than two inches (60mm) of rain forecast to fall in some places.
