Fred the Red with the FA Cup

YOUNGSTERS have the chance to get their hands on the FA Cup this half-term.

Fred the Red, the mascot of current FA Cup holders Manchester United, is taking the prized trophy around Virgin Money stores this week.

He will be at the Oldham branch at 34 Yorkshire Street on Thursday between 10am and noon.

Children are welcome to have their photo taken with Fred and the FA Cup, and there will also be the chance to win tickets to see Manchester United take on Arsenal in the Premier League tie scheduled for Saturday, November 19.

The event is open to everyone, not just Virgin Money customers.

The firm is the Official Retail Financial Services Partner of Manchester United in the UK.

The Red Devils beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Wembley in May to win the trophy.
