OUTGOING Oldham Mayor, Councillor Ateeque Ur-Rehman opens refurbished offices of Seftons, Oldham with outgoing Mayoress Councillor Yasmin Toor and proprietor David Sefton
AN ACCOUNTANCY firm officially opened its refurbished offices with a visit from the outgoing mayor and mayoress of Oldham.
Sefton Accountants and Business Advisers has carried out a major upgrade and expansion of its Union Street premises.
The firm recently welcomed Cllr Ateeque Ur-Rehman and Cllr Yasmin Toor for a visit, which was one of the civic couple's later engagements during their year in office.
Seftons has been operating for 25 years and said the revamp reflects an exciting new era for Oldham town centre and the borough's business community.
Its' three-storey Union Street premises now have a triple frontage reception area and an ornate interior with oak panelling, chandelier lighting and Chesterfield sofas.
Pictures on the walls reflect partner David Sefton's love of classical art. He said the refurbishment creates stylish but welcoming experience.
Mr Sefton said the firm is proud to represent big and small clients, and promotes a personal customer service.
He said: "Either myself or my practice manager insist on meeting every new client where possible, be they a one-person operation or a multi-million pound turnover corporate business.
"We understand that business owners will always consider cost and the quality of advice as being important factors in choosing an accountant, but we also firmly believe that it is our personal touch and accessibility that makes us stand out. Taking the time to meet and clients in person is the best way to form a solid long-term relationship. A lot of our clients have been with us for 15 and 20 years."
He said the firm is seeing growing demand for accountancy, tax and business consultancy services, amid rising confidence locally.
