AN Oldham Business Awards winner highlighted the benefits of taking part in the annual competition.

ZenOffice said entering the awards creates a deeper understanding of firm's products and services, leads to independent recognition of good business, boosts relationships and creates valuable publicity.

The company was named Business of the Year (more tha £10 million turnover) in this year's Oldham Business Awards, which took place at Queen Elizabeth Hall on May 13.

News of the win has since appeared in the Oldham Chronicle, in print and online, plus national trade media such as Dealer Support, Channel Info and Office Supplies News. The company is also using the new Oldham Business Awards Winner logo on its promotional material. All winners are encouraged to use the logo on websites, brochures, letterheads and other material.

Bruce Davie, ZenOffice's managing director, said the Oldham Business Awards is one of the largest black tie ceremonies in the Greater Manchester area with 500 guests and rigorous judging conducted by NatWest Bank.

He said: "This recognition is testament to how our business is viewed by the outside world. We aren't just a good business, we are a great business and we are all very proud of our achievements. We have come a long way in recent years and we wouldn't win these awards if it weren't for the support and dedication of all our employees."

Steph Hitchman, the company's sales director, told the Chronicle: "The One Oldham Business Awards give ZenOffice the opportunity to feel part of the strong business community in the town.

"Winning the award has already forged stronger relationships with the other finalists and I am sure we will all work closer together in the future. We have a better understanding of their services and products and vice versa."

The latest award follows on from ZenOffice winning the Xerox Gold Partner of the Year a few months ago. ZenOffice also experienced exceptional 2015 results with the company growing by nearly 30 per cent to more than £14 million.
