STAFF at a new bank held an official opening with the borough’s mayor.
Scott Parkinson, manager at the new branch of Handelsbanken at Salmon Fields Business Village in Royton, welcomed Oldham Mayor, Councillor Ateeque Ur-Rehman and Mayoress, Councillor Yasmin Toor, for the event.
The Swedish bank moved in during the summer and staff now include documentation manager Andrew Harrison, personal banking manager Nicola Mitchell and corporate manager Chris Ainsworth.
Handelsbanken was founded 143 years ago and now operates in 25 countries. Its first UK branch opened in 1982 and today it has a decentralised network of over 190 British offices.
