Catering firm is still top of the menu

NATIONAL independent contract catering company Catering Academy has retained its illustrious Sunday Times Fast Track 100 entry by ranking for a second year running.

The only contract caterers to feature, Catering Academy were ranked 76th in the top 100 and 9th in the 10 biggest employers.

Continuing on from their impressive rank of 10th in the 2009 list, Catering Academy were one of only 37 companies successful enough to be included again from last year.

Team Academy secured this accolade with sales rising 54 per cent year on year, on top of the phenomenal historic growth from £4.3m in 2006 to £15.8m in 2009. Catering Academy director Kevin Cannon, from Chadderton, said: “We are elated to feature in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 once again, particularly as one of the UK’s largest employers in this group. To rank for a second year running in an economically uncertain period is an unbelievable achievement for Team Academy, and one which are extremely proud of.”

This has been an incredible year for Catering Academy with both Kevin Cannon and fellow founder Louise Wymer receiving commercial award recognition for their continued commitment to sustainable contract catering services.
