Awards deadline looms

FIRMS are being reminded that the nominations deadline for the Oldham Business Awards is January 27.

The nominations process is done online through the official website oldhambusinessawards.co.uk.

After the January deadline, representatives from major sponsor NatWest and the business awards steering group will shortlist five entrants from each award category.

The five names from each category will then be handed over to judging panels, for further shortlisting to three finalists per category.

Judging panels will then visit each of the three finalists as part of the judging process.

Last year, award-winning firm Tunnel Engineering Services (UK) benefited from the process by receiving financial advice, which helped it secure a funding to move into larger premises.

All shortlisted businesses will be unveiled at Innovative Technology in Derker in early spring. They will then be invited to the main award ceremony at Queen Elizabeth Hall on May 12.
