BREWERY, pub and hotel owner JW Lees has completed the purchase of The Hanging Gate in Weaverham, Cheshire.
The purchase follows JW Lees's strategy of growing its pub estate in the North-West region.
The pub was latterly trading as Casa Matta until it closed in September.
It will revert to being a traditional pub trading under its original name, The Hanging Gate, and will now be integrated into the JW Lees business as well as benefitting from investment early in the new year.
Proud
William Lees-Jones, managing director of JW Lees, said: "We are proud to be welcoming another new pub into the JW Lees family and we remain hungry for acquisitions of both managed and tenanted pubs as well as hotels in the region."
Last week the firm announced it had bought four pubs in Chester, Lymm, Heaton Mersey and Delamere.
