GREEN-FINGERED residents are invited to join a new group to find out more and grow their own food.
The Greenfield Growers will meet every Wednesday from 11am to 3pm at Tanners Mill, Greenfield, led by community interest company Adventure Based Learning.

THE “It’s not rocket science” general knowledge quiz takes place on Tuesday at Springhead Liberal Club. Starting at 8.30pm, the quiz is £3 per person and will raise money for Dr Kershaw’s and Oldham branch of the MS Society.
A Burns Night and Ceilidh in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice is being held tomorrow night at Denshaw Parish Hall from 6.45pm. Entertainment by Pipe Major Peter Doyle, Kershaw’s Crooners and traditional dancing to the sound of Kracken Ceilidh Band. Tickets cost £17.50 and available from the hospice reception.
COFFEE afternoons providing a welcoming and friendly environment are held at Christ Church, Friezland, every Thursday from 2pm to 4pm.
JOIN THE Saddleworth Grand Slam Bridge Club for its weekly sessions at the Royal George pub in Greenfield. Sessions are held every Monday and Thursday, starting at 7.15pm. Players must have a basic understanding of the game. For more details, please call 01457 870626.
