Canal clean-up
Date published: 08 January 2016
Street Scene Greenfield is seeking volunteers to help spruce up the area’s canal towpaths by clearing debris, cutting back vegetation, resurfacing areas with stone and repainting lock gates along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.
The next clean-up takes place tomorrow. For more details contact Gill McCulley on 01457 870364.
PICK UP a treat at the Farmers’ Market in Uppermill Square on the second Sunday of every month, from 9am to 2pm. It has temporarily moved from its base at Saddleworth Museum while renovation work is carried out.
IMPROVEMENT work is continuing at Saddleworth Medical Practice, Uppermill, until Monday, January 18. Machinery and other building equipment will be stored on the public car park adjacent to the practice so patients are advised to plan extra time for parking before appointments.
COFFEE afternoons are being held at Christ Church Friezland every Thursday, from 2 to 4pm.
