START your festive shopping early at the annual OneWorld Christmas Fair tomorrow organised by Churches Together in Saddleworth, and held at the Sacred Heart Parish Centre, Uppermill, from 10am-4pm. Proceeds go to CAFOD and Christian Aid.
PICK up a treat at the Farmers’ Market in Uppermill Square on Sunday and each second Sunday of the month from 9am to 2pm. The market boasts a collection of mouth-watering produce from local suppliers, including cheeses and pies. It has temporarily moved from its base at Saddleworth Museum while renovation works are carried out.
ENJOY A thrilling race night at the Masonic Hall in Uppermill tonight to raise funds for the St Mary’s Church Organ Trust in Greenfield. The event starts at 7.30pm. Tickets £4.50, including a potato pie supper.
ENJOY a festive fair at St Anne’s Church, Lydgate, on Sunday, November 15, from noon to 3pm. There will be home-bake stalls, a tombola, raffle, children’s stalls and refreshments.
GET into the festive spirit at the Parish Christmas Fair of St Chad at Kilngreen Church, Diggle, on Saturday, November 14. From 2-4pm the annual fair offers a host of games, a raffle, tombola and Santa’s grotto. There will also be a wide variety of stalls. Entry costs 50p for adults but children go free.
DIGGLE Bowling Club’s AGM will be held at Diggle Band Club on Wednesday, November 18, at 7.30pm.
