THERE will be spooky fun for all at a family Hallowe’en party at Dobcross Band and Social Club on Sunday, from 6-9pm.
There will be a family disco with food, and fancy dress is optional. Tickets cost £5 per family available from the Club or from Pam on 07779 274 834.
LEGENDARY author Louis de Bernieres is hosting a fundraising event organised by Oldham Libraries for Delph Library, tomorrow. The author of “Captain Corelli’s Mandolin” will talk about his new book, “The Dust That Falls from Dreams”, at the Millgate Theatre, from 2pm. Tickets cost £5 and are available from Delph Library.
PICK UP a treat at the farmers’ market in Uppermill Square on the second Sunday of every month, from 9am to 2pm. The market boasts a collection of mouth-watering produce from local suppliers, including cheeses and pies. It has temporarily moved from its base at Saddleworth Museum while renovation works are carried out.
DIGGLE Bowling Club’s annual meeting will be held at Diggle Band Club on Wednesday, November 18, at 7.30pm.
ENJOY A festive fair at St Anne’s Church, Lydgate, on Sunday, November 15, from noon to 3pm. There will be home-bake stalls, a tombola, a raffle, children’s stalls, and refreshments.
GRAB a bargain as Saddleworth Civic Trust hosts a flea market with more than 40 stalls on Sunday, November 1, at the Civic Hall in Uppermill, from 10am-3.15pm. To book stalls please phone 01457-876858.
