Road closed

THERE will be a temporary closure of Oldham Road in Uppermill on Wednesday, October 21, from 11pm to 3am on October 22, for manhole replacement works.
The closure will be from the junction with Chapel Road to the junction with Bridge Street, with a diversion in place via Oldham Road, Platting Lane, Oldham Road (A671), Delph New Road, Dobcross New Road and High Street.
AUTHOR Louis de Bernieres talks about his new book, “The Dust That Falls From Dreams”, at a fundraising event for Delph Library on Saturday, October 24, at the Millgate Theatre, from 2pm. Tickets cost £5 and are available from Delph Library.
