Lap up the live arena action at the Saddleworth Show

Date published: 07 June 2023

There will be plenty of live action and demonstrations inside the ever-popular arena at the Saddleworth Show on Sunday, June 25.

This year the Saddleworth Show arena - at Well-i-Hole Farm in Greenfield - welcomes a light sabre group who will give anyone of any age training in light sabre fighting as well as professional demonstrations - so go and “let the force awaken within you”.

At various times between 10am and 4pm, there will also be Enigma martial arts displays, Infinity Dance Workshop shows, Aerial Cirque and also Yoga to enjoy.

Organisers have lots of other great plans for the Saddleworth Show on June 25, which is rapidly approaching.

All the favourites will feature again, including Country Corner, an extended dog show to include Retrieval, Agility and Rallying, a Punch and Judy, Kids, Magic Shows and Pony Rides.

Meanwhile, teenagers, who will have auditioned with Mahdlo Youth Centre and Oldham Music Centre, will be performing on stage throughout the day.

The winners at the auditions will also perform at the Wellifest music festival, which takes place at the Farm the day before, Saturday, June 24.

Don't miss out on the biggest fun weekend in the area.

Tickets for Wellifest are selling fast and are once again likely to completely sell out.

The line-up promises DJ sets from Mike Sweeney of BBC Radio Manchester fame and headline acts, Manchester Ska Foundation and Foo FighterZ, and other popular bands who will be rocking from 12.30pm to 9.30pm.

There will be increased bar capacity and several new food outlets, as well as traditional ones.

Full details of all events are available at: www.saddleworthshow.com and: www.wellifest.com

Last year, the two events, organised by the Rotary Clubs of Saddleworth and Oldham Metro, raised more than £29,000 for local charities.
