Roughyeds will stage a Sponsors Breakfast in the new Joe Royle stand at Boundary Park on Friday
Oldham Rugby League Club will stage a Sponsors Breakfast in the new Joe Royle stand at Boundary Park on Friday (July 28), starting at 8.30am.
The club has issued an open invitation to potential sponsors and local business people, but anyone planning to attend is asked to contact the club’s Leanne Corkery by email to: leanne.corkery@roughyeds.co.uk
Leanne, from Liverpool, works full time for club chairman Bill Quinn and his various companies, but as part of that employment she is working part-time for Roughyeds on commercial matters and this will be her first big project.
Potential sponsors will be given a presentation about the club and its future; given an insight into sponsorship packages available for the 2024 season; shown images of the new kit; and given a guided tour of hospitality and other facilities in the Joe Royle stand at Boundary Park where Roughyeds will be playing home games next season.
Oldham Council has installed a new £1m state-of-the-art pitch at Boundary Park and Roughyeds say they are indebted to the Council and to Frank Rothwell, owner of Oldham Athletic FC , for their co-operation and goodwill in talks to ensure that Oldham RLFC will move into Boundary Park next year.
Frank and Mrs Rothwell, meanwhile, were chief guests of Oldham Rugby at a recent home game at the Vestacare Stadium and they are known to see Boundary Park as the nerve centre of Oldham sport in years to come.
