Rawsthorne and Wilson in Roughyeds' 21 for Dons game
Date published: 16 June 2023
The Roughyeds will be looking to chase down Dewsbury Rams, who are top of League One and are, so far, unbeaten
New signings Nick Rawsthorne and Harvey Wilson go straight into Stuart Littler’s 21-man squad for Oldham’s showdown against second-placed Doncaster on Sunday.
Rawsthorne’s capture was announced earlier this morning (Friday) after signing from Halifax Panthers on a deal lasting until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old, who scored 27 tries in 34 appearances for Toronto plays across the wing and centre positions, but he can also slot in at full-back.
Wilson arrives on dual-registration forms from Wigan Warriors for a four week period.
Both will be a welcome boost to Roughyeds as the club looks to chase down Dewsbury Rams who are top of League One and are, so far, unbeaten.
Kian Morgan and Samy Kibula, who both picked up a One Match Penalty Notice yesterday, are included in the squad with the bans only coming into force for the Dewsbury game, next Friday.
Admission prices have been slashed to just £10 for both veterans and fathers to celebrate Fathers Day and Armed Forces Week.
Military personnel, both past and present, and anybody who brings their father to the game will get in at the Vestacare Stadium for the discounted price.
The club is also offering the same reduction to the parents of any child who wears a rugby shirt of any colour to the game.
Pay on the day is available at the cash only turnstiles, or alternatively visit the Roughyeds ticketing page to buy them now.
Squad in full: Ah Van, Baker, Blagbrough, Brierley, Cameron, Carr, Hirst, Kibula, McNally, Meadows, Moran, K. Morgan, Nelmes, Newton, Paga, Rawsthorne, Ridyard, Slater, Whittel, Wilkinson, Wilson.
