The Vestacare clubhouse, both rooms, will be the Roughyeds' for the night
Oldham RL club's 2018 player awards night will be held at the Vestacare Stadium on Friday, November 9, with a 7.30pm start.
The Vestacare clubhouse, both rooms, will be the Roughyeds' for the night, which will provide fans with an opportunity to mix and mingle with the players as we all enjoy looking back on the roller-coaster of a season which had both highs and lows.
Five individual awards will be made to the Player of the Year (chosen by head coach Scott Naylor); the Players’ player of the year; the fans’ player of the year; the club person of the year; and the Unsung Hero of the year, the last two chosen by chairman Chris Hamilton.
Dress will be smart casual (and that includes replica shirts, worn with pride) and the cost per person, which includes pie-and-mash supper with extras from Hot Plate Catering, Oldham, will be £12.50.
You can book and pay online or, if you prefer, by cash or cheque at the Roughyeds office inside the Vestacare Stadium between 10am and 3pm on weekdays.
As we are now out of season the office will not necessarily be manned ALL of those days and hours so you are advised to ring Anne first on 07811 988426 to save yourself a lost journey.
She said: “It will be a fun night, very informal and an occasion for players and fans to come together as one as they have done all season from Workington to West Wales and from Hunslet to Hemel.
“It was a long, hot summer and the awards night brings it all to an end.”
Tickets will inevitably have to be limited so you are advised to book and buy as quickly as possible.
Oldham's season ended with a 47-0 defeat at Bradford Bulls in the Betfred League 1 play-off semi-final last week.
