ORSA stage their first supporters' Quiz Night of the season at the Vestacare Stadium on Thursday (8pm start).
ORSA (Oldham Roughyeds' Supporters' Association) break new ground on Thursday (April 5) when they stage their first supporters' Quiz Night of the season at the Vestacare Stadium (8pm start).
Most of their similar events in recent seasons have taken place in conjunction with Higginshaw ARLFC, but on this occasion ORSA are returning home to the refurbished Avro FC club at the Vestacare Stadium on a night when the Roughyeds players will be training at the same venue.
Fans can enter the quiz for a nominal £1, and up for grabs will be a £200 jackpot prize.
ORSA, who sponsor tackling-machine Liam Bent, work closely with head coach Scott Naylor and his backroom team in providing the squad with match-day materials and other aids.
In recent weeks they've also helped to fund training sessions at outside venues.
Membership costs £10 a year and fans can download a membership form off the Roughyeds website or speak to Grant Somerville, the secretary, on (01706) 844810.
Having played only two of their six games so far in cup and league at the Vestacare, and on the road at Whitehaven, Halifax, North Wales and Bradford, Naylor's men now look forward to consecutive Betfred League 1 games at home against Hunslet and Keighley Cougars.
Hunslet visit this Sunday, April 8, and Keighley follow a week later on April 15.
Roughyeds have also been drawn at home to Hull KR in the fifth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup on Sunday, April 22, but this big cup clash against Super League opposition will have to be played away from the Vestacare, which doesn't meet minimum requirements for a game of this stature.
