Latics drew 0-0 at Dagenham & Redbridge
Latics missed their chance to move back into the National League play-off positions as they drew 0-0 at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Micky Mellon's men had to settle for a fourth draw in their last five games.
Dion Pereira had a chance for the Daggers, before team-mate Ryan Hill had an effort saved while, at the other end, home goalkeeper Elliot Justham made a great stop to deny Mark Kitching from close range.
Dagenham went close again when Hill picked out Josh Rees, but the midfielder dragged the ball wide before Pereira had an effort from distance saved by Matthew Hudson.
Pereira almost found the breakthrough in the 79th minute, only to see his shot smash off the post, while Hill fired over in the final minutes as the spoils were shared, leaving Latics two points shy of the top seven.
Latics boss Mellon said after the game: "At this time of the year it's about battling and scrapping and picking up points.
"It can be frustrating and I can see the fans were frustrated at the end.
"We're all frustrated but we've got to stick together and we've got to keep going."
Latics' next fixture is on Good Friday when they host AFC Fylde (3pm ko).
They have six league fixtures left to play.
