Kewell gears up for Bantams test

Date published: 11 December 2020

Latics boss Harry Kewell is busy preparing his team for tomorrow's third clash against Bradford in just over a month.

Hopefully, the League Two clash at Boundary Park will see the same outcome as the other two games - a Latics win - after Kewell's men prevailed 3-1 in the Papa John's Trophy on November 10 and 2-1 in the FA Cup on November 28.

Latics will feel confident of success again against a Bradford side who have lost their last four league games, while Kewell and the players will also be desperate to bounce back from Tuesday's Papa John's Trophy exit at home against Lee Johnson's Sunderland.

Kewell said: “It was frustrating, it’s a hard one to take but we have to take it, we have to move on and we have to correct our bad mistakes and we will do that.

“Then we’ll see what Saturday brings.”

Meanwhile, Latics striker Danny Rowe has been nominated as a 'Goal of the Month' contender for Sky Bet League Two during November after his long-range free-kick at Exeter City.

Voting is now open on the official EFL league Twitter account and closes on Monday (December 14) at 3pm.

The winner will be announced next Friday (December 18).

The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on the official Sky Bet Championship, League One and League Two Twitter accounts.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, Sky Bet Sponsorship Executive Matt Goodwin and EFL Senior Media Manager Rob Meaden.

LATICS are wanting to employ an increased number of matchday stewards ahead of the potential return of supporters to Boundary Park.

The rate of pay for this job role is competitive, with Level Two stewards earning £10 per hour and SIA trained officials on £11 per hour.

If you want to join a small but extremely dedicated support team that are enthusiastic, committed as well as being available on Saturday afternoons and Tuesday evenings, then the club would like to hear from you.

You will need to have a Level Two qualification in Spectator Safety or an SIA accreditation.
