Carlisle 1 - 0 Oldham Athletic
An early strike by Olufela Olomola handed Carlisle their first home win since the opening day of the Sky Bet League Two season as Dino Maamria suffered his first defeat in charge.
Olomola put Carlisle ahead after just three minutes after finding space in the box following some nice footwork from McKirdy.
It was a less than enthralling match, with both sides struggling to make headway in the first half.
Latics were a little sparkier in the opening minutes of the second half with the best chance of the game coming from Mohamed Maouche whose shot flew just by the post
Carlisle were glad just hold out for a rare win in front of their own supporters.
