But after a delayed inspection referee Carl Boyeson took the decision to call the game off because it was unsafe to play.
The club have said that purchased tickets for their postponed game will remain valid for the rescheduled fixture. If you cannot attend that game then a full refund can be issued.
It's not the only game the weather has forced officials to cancel.
In League One - Accrington Stanley's match with Blackpool is off because of a frozen pitch.
Yesterday's heavy snow in Wiltshire means the game between Swindon and Forest Green Rovers in League Two has been suspended due to unsafe surrounding areas.
Also off in League Two because of a frozen pitch is Cheltenham versus Cambridge United.
