It looks like Athletic’s leading goalscorer this term has played his last game for the club after being recalled by Bournemouth amid rumours he’s about to switch to a League One side.
Sam Surridge, who arrived at Boundary Park in the summer, has been attracting the attention of a number of clubs, with Bournemouth believed to be wanting him to test himself at a higher level than League Two.
The Telegraph and Argus is reporting that Bradford City are very keen on the highly-rated forward.
However, it’s not known if that will be a permanent deal or another loan.
Before arriving at Athletic, Surridge had impressed at fellow League Two side Yeovil last season and has also caught the eye of many by bagging 12 goals in 20 appearances for Athletic, including a penalty at Fulham yesterday in their epic 2-1 FA Cup third round win at Cravern Cottage.
The 20-year old has had spells on the sidelines this season through injury, but his departure will still be seen as a major blow to Athletic.
